Finding a rental property is easy if you know where to look!  First, get your ducks in a row and ensure you know when you are thinking of moving.  Obviously there will also be a credit and background check on yourself and, if relevant, your partner or spouse.  The best advice we can give you is to reveal all!  Often we can work with Tenants who have had credit problems, particularly if they have been upfront about them prior to a credit check.

Once you have found a house to rent, you will be asked to sign a contract which clearly states all the terms and conditions of living in that house during your tenancy.  If you are unsure about anything, ask the property manager immediately.  Typically, earnest money (approx. $500) will be payable at this time in order to hold the house until you are due to move in.  This money will count towards the Security Deposit which is payable at move-in.  Please remember that all deposits must be made in the form of a Banker's Draft (Cashier's Check or Money Order).
